We are celebrating fat biking in Alaska with the second Big Fat Ride in downtown Anchorage. The Big Fat Ride is a new Fur Rondy event with nearly 500 riders in 2016. It is an official Fur Rondy event.The public, fat bikers, visitors, race fans and everyone is invited to ride a 5 mile loop in downtown Anchorage and set a Guiness World Record  in Anchorage Alaska. We are hoping for 1000 riders in 2017.

Fat biking is Alaskan culture and a way to stay active throughout the long winter months with almost three decades snow biking on the Iditarod Trail. It brings together all ages of fat bikers, whether they are ultra racers or commute on their fat bikes in Anchorage. Helmets are mandatory on this ride! Registered riders will receive a T-Shirt!
